Drugs Induced Syndromes

Syndromes means a group Symptoms or (for example, neuropathic pain) in a number of conditions for which the cause of the pain is unclear.
There are many types of syndromes based on their cause of origin, like Drug induced and Genetic related.

Apart from drugs has their own pharmacological uses, on overdoses, wrong combination of drugs or Hyper- sensitivity of body to the drug molecule may also leads to some adverse reaction/ or a group of unwanted symptoms we can be considered as Syndrome

There are many drugs shows unwanted effects along with their benefits, hence in this case the Medical practitioners or pharmacists should consider the benefits of the drug as compare to its Adverse effect.
Examples: Chloramphenicol induced Gray baby syndrome

Stevens Janhsons Syndrome/ Toxic epidermal Necrolysis has Symptoms like Flue like illness, Fever, Sore throat, Difficulty in swallowing, Runny nose, cough, Red eyes, conjunctivitis, General aches and pains. 
Cause: 
Sulfonamides: Cotrimoxizole
Beta lactam : Penicillines, Cephalosporins
Anti-convulsions: Lamotrigine, Carbamazepine, Phenytoin and Phenobarbitone
Allopurinol, Paracetamol, Nevirapine (Non nucleoside reverse trascriptase inhibitor), 
NSAIDS: Oxicam Derivaties
